Neon Lights

 

Owen saw some lacing cards in the attic and wanted to get them down.  Guess what he wanted to do with them?  Turn them into Neon Lights!  Attached with extension cords and all!

Salt Art

 

I’ve been wanting to try a salt and watercolor art project with Owen for awhile now.  It was a lot of fun, but we didn’t really get to watch the color move through the salt since O is 3 and does not understand the word gentle- ha!

A Lovely Winter Night

 

We have managed to have a few warm days in between all these polar vortices!  We grilled out and played… baseball?!

 

Then when twilight hits, Owen can do his favorite thing- control the solar lights

Can’t wait for the next warm day!

SkyZone Trampoline Park

 

Owen and I went to a fun trampoline park!  He was a jumping machine.

 

 

The cutest was when he jumped into the foam pit.  He just didn’t quite get the jumping part   He carefully climbed in all three times he did it!

Daschunds and Snow Trains

 

I’ve been trying to get Owen to build things other than fans, so we attempted to make Hundley from Curious George (middle) and his Dad (rear) and Mom (front).

 

Margot seemed to enjoy it.

 

Later we brought Owen’s train table out from his bedroom and put it under the couch.  Long story, but we took his mattress off the frame.  We decided to play trains and have them drive through the snow, then go to the train wash station.

 

It was a lot of fun.  Owen would repeatedly ask “Is it in the snow yet?” and slowly inch it closer and closer, and I’d say “Almost” until finally I would yell “Yes!” and he’d drive it into the snow.
