Day 2: Nighttime Splashing

 

When we got back from Animal Kingdom, we grabbed a late dinner.  Owen wanted to do some nighttime sliding and splashing!

Worked up a thirst so they went to get some drinks

At the splashpad.  O is such an interesting kid.  He watched the fountains for about 10 minutes and memorized the order they went off.  Then he would run around the splashpad saying “This one is going to go off!”  Ryan and I just sat watching from the pool chairs in amazement!  Don’t believe me?  watch the videos at the end of the post!

Day 2: Dinoland USA

After Pooh, we headed to Dinoland USA, where they had a dinosaur dig play area, a triceratops ride, and the one character we hadn’t gotten to meet- Pluto!

Dad decided to hit up the cool new rollercoaster Expedition Everest while Owen and I played at the playground.

We got hot, so we headed over to see Pluto!

Dad came back and then we got ice cream sandwiches- Owen actually went behind the girls counter to look at her fan.  She was very nice.

We went to the play area again.  Heading up to the slides…

Dad seemed to enjoy it more!

Everyone knows dino-loving kids turn into dino-loving adults!

The park closed and we headed home for night-time splashing!

Day 2: Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too

After a LONG nap, we headed back to the Animal Kingdom to visit Dinoland USA. 


We only had about an hour before the park closed, so we were rushing, BUT we saw that Winnie the Pooh and Tigger were still at the park.  We were able to get a good five minutes with Winnie and Tigger ALL BY OURSELVES!!  They took pictures, danced with us, and even spun like fans for Owen (he was very interested in the ceiling fans in their pavilion). 

See the fans blowing our hair?  This was 1/8 pictures where he was looking at the camera and not the fan!

Then we headed to Dinoland USA!!

Day 2: I HAVE to see Minnie

We had just finished lunch and were going to head home when Owen proclaimed that he HAD to see Minnie!  (He thought she was going to be at lunch with Mickey.)  Fortunately, we were heading into Tibet and found out that Minnie was actually at the park.

He actually said he wanted to wait 20 minutes to meet her!  Our turn…

And we got to see Mickey again too!

Finally we headed out, stopping to get our picture a little closer to the Tree of Life. 

We found out about magic shots too!  They were actually able to get Tinkerbell to land in my hand!


And Stitch popped up through the cement!

Stay tuned… we came back to the park after naptime to meet Winnie the Pooh and see Dinoland USA!

Day 2: Lunch with Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey

After the safari, we headed to the Tusker House restaurant for lunch.  It was an African buffet with LOTS of yummy food- grilled meats, curries, roasted veggies… we ate like kings! 
When we arrived they took pictures with Donald outside while your table was being prepared

He wasn’t too sure about Donald.

So they stuck with a high-five


And finally a kiss on the beak :)

Once we had started eating, the characters would come by and visit each table.


He was really into Daisy… going for the open mouth kiss

After Goofy, all the kids were given instruments to have a parade with Mickey around the room. 

Owen wasn’t too into the idea of parading around, but did get up at the end and got a special dance with Mickey!  Here is the video:

Ryan then had to RUSH him to the bathroom (as you can see him holding himself in the video) before Mickey came to our table.  Here comes the big man himself!

It was a great lunch!  But on the way out, O asked where Minnie was- He NEEDED to see Minnie!
