Happy New Year!!

We wish everyone a Wonderful New Year!  We’re excited to see what 2014 brings!

Here are a few photos that didn’t make it onto the Christmas card.  I love that we were able to incorporate the kids’ Great Grandma’s rocking chair.  It’s probably close to 100 years old.

And these last ones are just to prove they were not happy the majority of the time I was taking pictures, and he does not like holding his baby sister!  Look at that scowl!  I had to bribe him with cookies and Lenny’s for lunch!

New Years Eve Celebration!

We had a super fun New Years Eve celebration!  After looking at our New Years pictures from last year, Owen really wanted a balloon drop and champagne to toast.    After nap time, we were all set to welcome the new year!

Then we decided to open some remaining Christmas presents.

Opening Margot’s.  Her’s is the pink giraffe Baby’s First Christmas to match Owen’s blue giraffe.



One more ornament to go!  Dad wanted to try and even out the number of “Baby’s First Christmas” ornaments between Owen and Margot.




Owen watched an episode of Curious George while we waited for the countdown to New Years!  Margot read a book


Then we decided to break the Sparkling Cider out!

All good things must come to an end…

Dad pretended he was going to bed, and Owen told him the cutest fan story.  “Once upon a time there was a fan named Fanny, and Fanny was a good fan.  But Fanny didn’t know that it wasn’t summer.  So Owen plugged Fanny in and turned Fanny on.  The End.”

Then we tried to get him to tell it for me to go to sleep.

Don’t tell Owen, but our night owl partied a little late!  Enjoying a little Robin Thicke on Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve.
