Davies Plantation in the Rain

It was rainy, but we were all stir crazy so we headed to a local park to splash and play.  The pond was overflowing into a little stream and Owen was amazed by the “waterfalls”.  He kept exclaiming, “The water is going over the waterfalls” and then he kept telling Aunt Staci to “Go look in the grey tubes (drains)!” 

Getting down to feel the stream.  “It’s so cold!”

Aunt Staci helped him get down to the bigger waterfalls!



Jumping in puddles!

Dad helped dry the slide with a monkey on his back!

More puddles… but he was starting to get grumpy that his shoes were wet.


We had a lot of fun getting muddy!

Panda Squirting

 

Owen received a Panda squirter that he LOVES!   He played for hours outside squirting everything, and when it started raining we moved inside to the shower!

Root Viewer Time!

Nona and Papa had bought Owen this cool root viewer back in the winter, and now we finally had the chance to try it out while they were here. 

We got the soil ready the night before


Then filled our tubes the next morning and planted radish, carrot, and onion seeds!




He was very excited about his little mini-garden!  We already have a ton of sprouts and will have to transfer some to a new container so we can see our radishes, onions, and carrots grow in the clear tubes!
