Owen’s New Room- Full Reveal!

Well it’s finally “complete”!  Owen’s new room is a camping/woodsy theme that he is loving right now!  We’ll start at the door and circle around the room:

He is loving this campfire!  He tells me he is going to turn it on at night to keep him warm.

His bed is opposite the teepee and has a cute woodland scene that matches his rug.

This is O’s dressing area where we hang his clothes the night before, and he takes them down in the morning.

We are all really loving it!  Now onto the nursery!

Preschool Post: Art Time, Creeks, Forceps, and Lily Pad Hopping

 

We had a busy busy Wednesday,Thursday, and Friday!  

We went to the creek on Wednesday and hiked around looking for animals.  He was very proud that he led us down the trail.

Thursday he started using forceps and got really good!  We need to send a big Thank You to our good friend Miss Linda for hooking us up!  I think the funniest part for me was when he said “These are forceps, but I’m going to call them tweezers.”

We did some lily pad hopping like a frog and crawling like a turtle!

 

He decided it was too easy, so he added a creek!

 

We went to storytime at the library, read elephant books, and made an elephant craft.  They unfortunately sang the alphabet song this week (instead of doing fingerplays), and he about lost it, BUT we made it to craft time!

Then we met Dad at the park for lunch, and we hit the push up bars.  (Yes there is a picture of me doing it too, but I’m not sure I want to add it on here- eight months preggo on a push up bar isn’t attractive!  haha)

Friday, we worked on our story basket for Five Speckled Frogs- Owen is getting really good at it!

Lastly, we did a little art time today.  This was VERY hands on so you get the final product and when he showed Dad!

A Funny Thing Happened

 

We were driving in the car a few weeks ago when a Ryan Lewis and Macklemore song “Can’t Stop” came on the radio.  One of the lyrics was “Put your hands up like the ceiling can’t hold us.” 

Now whenever we hear the song Owen says “Hands Up Please!!”  and proceeds to raise the roof.  He will continue to say it until you dance along with him.
