We had a super fun New Years Eve. We spent the night having fondue, playing with poppers and silly string, and even had our very own ball drop!
We started with a little snacking while the fondue cooked.
Owen got impatient and moved to the table!
Finally everything was ready!
The fondue was a hit except that Owen won’t eat cheese.
After eating we decided to teach Owen how to use the blowers since he would puff and puff but couldn’t inflate it. So Dad held his lips closed tight around it while he tried again.
And… success!!
Then the blower wars ensued which left us laughing a lot!
And in Dad’s case, grimacing a little!
This was our silly ball drop! It was strung over the semi-wall and tethered in the play room.
Of course we loaded the fan with streamers and confetti…
Then came the silly string (which should have been called stinky string)!
Uh-oh, Mom’s turn! Not even safe behind a camera!
Owen loved it…
… at first! After this picture, he demanded to take his clothes off!
Dexter joined in the festivities, reluctantly.
We had our ball drop
This was about the 20th “Cheers”; Owen LOVED the sparkling cider and the fact that he got to use a “fancy glass” (in his words).
I of course got kisses from my TWO favorite boys! I can’t think of a better way to start the New Year!
Here’s to an exciting 2013!!
