Week in Review: 1/6 to 1/13

 

Just a few little moments from this week we wanted to share in our weekly wrap-up. 

Owen has been loving his Rainforest Bristle Blocks that he got for Christmas; we play with them everyday.  He builds fireplaces for Mom and likes to assemble a palm tree with a monkey on top.  We’ve even built a tractor for the monkey and tiger (Owen’s request)!

We’re trying to give Owen more independence, so we installed these cool light switch extenders in his bedroom and bathroom. 

Owen unfortunately caught a cold (again), and when he does, he of course wants to snuggle in our bed… on my pillow! 

Little Tidbits from the Week:

Owen woke up late one morning and told me that: “Daddy went to work.  He be home in eight hours.”  All I could reply was, “You’re right!”

Owen had to go to the bathroom while we were eating lunch.  When we came back, Dexter was standing on the table and had eaten his lunch.  He put his hand to his forehead and said “Oh crap!”, then he looked at me and said, “bad word”.  I couldn’t help laughing.

Our friend was breastfeeding her baby, and Owen said to me, “Levi’s getting a snack” and then later asked if Levi would want some pizza. 

We were meeting some friends and one Mom asked Owen what he had for breakfast.  I about died when he replied “chocolate and hotdogs” especially since he RARELY gets either.

Owen is trying to warm up again to his rollercoaster since he fell on Christmas Day when he received it.   He asks to play with it everyday, but instead of him riding, he sends Dexter’s toys down.
