We thought we were going to miss out on Easter Egg Hunts this year because it was a VERY rainy Easter weekend. Fortunately, the rain held off for an hour on Saturday morning, and we found one last minute at our favorite park! His age group 0-3 was just a bunch of eggs thrown in the open green space in front of the playground. Oddly, they put a steel drum band in the middle of the green area, so most of the younger kids, Owen included, were a bit hesitant to run out. Owen just stood there watching the band while we encouraged him to pick up the ones laying all around him (as I mentioned he is in a sound sensitive phase right now)! I think he got about 12 eggs though and shared with his buddy Max.
Getting ready for the hunt!
So excited!!
Ready to go…
Hesitantly watching the drum band…
And the siren sounds…
First egg!
His cheerleaders!
Taking it all in… he was in no hurry
Showing Nona his loot
Hanging with his buddy!
It started to rain, but we still wanted to get in some playground time!
In the sand pit
Working the water pump with Papa
High fiving the Bison (this park maintains a bison herd).
It was a super-fun, last-minute, eggstravaganza! Then we headed to Staci’s new house for lunch!
