Making our Own Cloud

We decided to keep learning about weather and tried an experiment making our own cloud!  Hot water inside, ice cubes on top, then Mom dropped in a match.

We let the cloud form inside and then took the lid off!

You can kind of see the vapors coming out!

Then we read It Looked Like Spilt Milk and made our own clouds.  Owen said his looked like a birthday cake.

Then we decided to try writing cloud.  He did pretty good with the c, l, o, and d!  Especially since he has never really written letters before.

He still wasn’t too sure about writing a ‘u’ so he scribbled the black.  I’m so excited to see him interested at all in writing!   It says “c c l l o”.  The drawing between my written cloud is an industrial fan (circle in center) plugged into an outlet (line on left).
