It was a rainy day, so we went to stomp outside in the puddles!  (He likes to wear his shirts backwards.)

Then we went inside to work a little color magic!  We finally opened up our color science kit and had some fun!  First up was color mixing in the light with our test tubes.

Then we used our liquid from the test tubes to make all different colors

His favorite was making purple and brown

Then we added polyacrylamide to make crystals

Since we had to wait two hours, we tried a color mixing experiment.  The plan was to watch the fizzy tablets dissolve and the color spread across the top of the water and mix.

He decided to speed up the process

Then we decided to make a bunch of colored crystals with the leftover color tablets.

We dumped all of them out to play!
