A Funny Thing Happened

 

I’ve been meaning to post these and keep on forgetting, so here’s a few:

8.20.13

Owen finally went into the big boy sizes at the shoe store!  We always get his sneakers at Stride Rite and when they hit 8.5, they move to the big boy styles!  Growing up!

8.21.13 

We were walking into Target past the Starbucks snack bar, and Owen closed his eyes and said, “Mmmmm the coffee smells delicious!”

8.24.13

O loves the new Lady Gaga song Applause, and asks to hear it any time we’re in the car.  At first he called it the “Suppose” song though, and would sing “suppose suppose suppose” over and over during the chorus!  He’s got it down now though!

8.25.13 

O wants to know what every song is about, so every time a new song starts, he will ask me “What’s this song about?” … even if it’s classical music!

8.26.13

We went to lunch at our friend Miss Linda’s house, and Owen loves her fans.  I had told him days ahead of time, and it was all he had been talking about.  He walked into her family room looking for her oscillating fan (which had been moved), and very seriously said, “Miss Linda where is your grey oscillating fan?”  SO she had to go show him the room it had been moved to.  We ate lunch, and then he proceeded to ask her over and over until she relented to see her industrial outdoor fans!  Thank goodness she knows all about his fan love! 

I also have to post the super cute outfits she got the kids- she said we needed a little country for when we eventually move back North!  I love that she included a throwback to our “pig days” back at WMT (we worked on a porcine product together my last four months)!

Owen has been playing with the pigs like crazy!  So THANK YOU Linda!!
