A Funny Thing Happened

11.6.13  We were standing in line at a sub shop, and O picked out salt and vinegar chips.  The man in front of us laughed and said “Are you sure you want those?” and Owen replied, “I like them tart!”

11.8.13  Owen told Dad a joke last night while getting ready for bed:
O: "Why do clowns eat fish?"
D: "I don't know, why?"
O: "Because that's what they eat!"
How does the real joke go?  Why don't fish eat clowns?  Because they taste funny!
(Ryan and I thought this was just too funny!)

11.9.13  Dad and Owen were telling stories this morning by the campfire (one O makes out of blocks and Christmas lights), and Dad told one about a bear called Boogie Woogie.  Owen then decided that his booster seat was going to be Boogie Woogie and that he was a 40lb black bear.

11.9.13  We took O to Toys R Us today to see what kind of toys he wanted to ask for in his letter to Santa.  Well he spied this helicopter transformer thing that he just HAD to have.  They only had it on display, and he was so confused as to why he couldn't take it out of the case and buy it.  We explained it was just so people could try it out, and they didn't have any to buy.  Plus we weren't buying toys just looking so we knew what to ask the elves to make.  Later that night, Ryan was telling him stories at bedtime, and Owen told him this story:   "Once upon a time, Owen, Mommy, and Daddy went to Toys R Us.  Owen saw a helicopter dinosaur in a display, and he took it out, and took it to the register, and paid for it.  Then he brought it home and lived happily ever after!" Good thing the elves know how to build these!
