We hadn’t taken Owen to the children’s museum in well over a year. We decided to head in on a boring Sunday morning, and it was a blast. Our fan loving boy was mainly attracted to the FedEx airplane section where he got to fly a plane and run a turbofan jet engine. We were also able to get him to fish awhile, but everything else was a non-interest once he saw the fans. We actually became members since this pregnant lady will not be outside in 100 degree weather come mid-July!
Dad had to help until some steps opened up!
Finally got some steps to stand on!
Working the water wheel… this was his favorite part.
Fishing by the waterfall
Onto the airplane!
An actual FedEx plane you can walk through!
One of his favorites… the turbo jet engine you could turn on!
Flying the plane with Mom
Trying out the flight simulator.
This was Owen’s FAVORITE thing in the whole museum. You turn on about 10 box fans that lift the small plane in the box. Then you can adjust the wings to make it turn. He really only cared about the fans
Windblown!
Stacking boxes… there was a cute conveyor belt that they put the boxes on then turn a wheel to send them up into the plane. They then fall down a slide on the other side.
The big gear clock.
Lego room with Dad
Onto the vehicles…
Just picking around in the police car…
Riding the teeter totter with another little boy.
Onto the cars station… he filled up the gas.
Drove on a test track
He really wanted to go back to the plane, but stopped to clean up the hula hoops on the way back.
We made a thunderstorm complete with rain, wind, thunder, and lightening!
Feeling the wind
Played checkers…
Made a maraca for Cinco de Maya
They are opening a splash pad this summer, so we’re super excited!
