Preschool Post: Fourth of July Week!

We started our week a little late since we were still finishing up quarter round in the kids’ rooms and our playroom was a Disaster!  It lined us up perfectly to end our week on the Fourth of July though!

Here is what we had on our shelves:

Playdough and Sequencing stars by size

Tonging pompoms and Sticking flag picks

Spooning beads and Counting star stickers on flags

And pouring blue water (his favorite)

He really enjoyed spooning and then pouring the beads!

He did really well sequencing the stars too!  He would do the smallest and biggest first and then work his way in!

I didn’t have a picture above, but we used pipe cleaners and magnets to make “fireworks”.

He would stick a flag in and say “It goes in this teeny hole right here.”

His favorite was BY FAR pouring the water.  He would put his hand under the lip and try to slowly pour it in!

We tonged pom-poms a lot too!

And lastly we put the corresponding number of stars onto the flag!  It held his interest up to five stars.

He independently worked on these a lot this week!
